As we explore more and more avenues to drive traffic to your website or blog, it’s important to track what’s working and what’s not. Every site is different; what works for one site may not work for another.
Apart from simply seeing increases in traffic via Google Analytics, it’s good to measure where your site or blog is being mentioned or linked to. When you identify what works, then keep doing it.
One such way is to use a tool such as Google Alerts. Google Alerts looks for newly listed links point back to your site. Either delivered by email or RSS Feed, Google Alerts provides the intelligence for you to monitor online activity. Google Alerts monitors websites, news, blogs, videos and more.
